"Hey friends - I would love it if you want to buy the book that you do it from our website, www.urban-homesteading.org, rather than from amazon. then you can know your money is going to 2 hard-working homesteaders, rather than into amazon's…"
How might your current work contribute to the sustainability movement?
I just wrote a book about urban homesteading, which is a permaculture and transition-oriented book for city dwellers. it's very beautiful -- illustrations and photos -- well-written, and inspirational. While it makes it clear that the situation is urgent, it offers tons of different ways people can get started, and continue, to make a difference in their daily lives. I think it could be a useful tool for individuals, families, workshops, educational institutes.
In what ways do you personally identify with the Sustainability & Transition movement? Why are you interested?
i am interested for obvious reasons - things are coming undone and we need to find a better way. I identify with transition in that i think this is what is happening and needs to happen, right now.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
i am a writer, a performer, a healing artist, and a community based cultural change agent. I can speak in front of people, write clear and inspiring tracts (!), and work directly one on and one and in groups of people to help with healing work.
