Profile Information

How might your current work contribute to the Transition movement?
Currently I am involved with GRID Alternatives, volunteering to install solar panels on low income housing. I was a farmer in North Carolina before I moved here in August 2011.
In what ways do you personally identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I believe the ways in which we are living now are unsustainable and it is our job to change that.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
I can grow food, teach yoga classes, and I am very well educated on topics such as sustainable development, radical politics and social movements.
What aspects of the Transition Town movement most interests you?
I believe in the power of the process of autonomy. The more self-sustaining our towns and cities are the better.

Please let us know if you need any help navigating this network.  Please share more about the program and work you are volunteering with our community through a blog post if you have time.  There is also a Renewable Energy group that you may want to join.

Cheers
