How might your current work contribute to the sustainability movement?
I am a Zen priest and a psychotherapist, and in both traditions I am committed to helping others reconnect to their true nature (the core spirit of the transition movement).
In what ways do you personally identify with the Sustainability & Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I identify with the Iroquois sensibility that we should make decisions on behalf of the next seven generations, I identify with the spiritual sensibility that we are fundamentally interconnected and thus ARE all the beings that business-as-usual destroys. And so on, and so on...
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
With my Zen and psychotherapeutic background, I am capable of helping people not only wake up to the current environmental situation, but help those already engaged to stay positive and prevent burnout as they fully engage as activists. I have years of practice both with groups and individuals.
