How might your current work contribute to the sustainability movement?
I just signed up for the official "movement", but i've been trying to live sustainably for years.
In what ways do you personally identify with the Sustainability & Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I want to find a living situation that aligns with my best interpretation of our future challenges, and I need community to do it with. Don't want to move out to the country and drive a car miles to get anywhere, but I want to live a simple country life.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
I am good with visual design, I can figure out how to sew most things that are sewable and do it on a treadle machine, I am highly unsqueamish about compost, humanure, liquid gold fertilizer and such things, I haven't bought a feminine hygiene product in about 8 years, I grow more and more food each year, and I've skinned roadkill. I'm also a first rate scavenger and devoted to re-use: recycling isn't enough!
What aspects of the sustainability movement most interests you?
I'll let you know.

Hi ingrid in response to your comment, there's an events tab you can click on at the top of the Transition East Bay page. It's between the "groups" and "discourse" tabs. You can also find it at the top of most if not all other pages on the Transition California site. That wil take you to the events listing. Yours, Judith
