How might your current work contribute to the sustainability movement?
I have founded a "Respectful Living Institute" with the purpose of promoting all forms of respectful living and action. I created a website called " GreenTransitionChico.org " in 2009 with the purpose of offering a platform of visibility for anything "green" in Chico, CA. I am now launching a new project called "Respectful Rvolution" meant to create video vignettes about all sorts of respectful endeavors happening throughout North America.
In what ways do you personally identify with the Sustainability & Transition movement? Why are you interested?
As a career documentary filmmaker, I have observed first-hand the result of greed when applied on society and the natural world. Today we have a shot at replacing greed and exploitativeness by an authentic sense of awe and respect for the world. It is our duty to take this chance and do all we can to try and lift humanity to its next stage of evolution.
What background and skills do you bring to this community?
I bring skills in writing, video-making, community organizing, and multi-facet activism.
