Welcome to the Label GMO 2012 Campaign!

How to get started!

1.  Learn More - visit the main website here

2.  SHARE AND SPREAD THE WORD!

Here is the Transition California Community embed link code to be used for emailing friends, posting on any forums/blogs/websites, sharing on other networks, and banners/images.

http://www.labelgmos.org/?recruiter_id=3401

Using this code will enable tracking of Transition California Community's impact and efforts during this campaign.

3.  Write a list of people and places you can collect signatures.  If every TCA member got just 10 signatures that would be 15,000 signatures alone.  Our goal is for every member to collect 100 signatures - that would be 150,000!

Much of the World Already Requires Labeling of Genetically Engineered Foods

50 countries with over 40% of the world’s population already label genetically engineered foods, including the entire European Union. Even China labels genetically engineered foods. California should lead on this important issue. What do these countries know that we don't?

March 16, 2012

Hello Friends,

I wanted to write a personal note to all of you out there who care about the California GMO Labeling Initiative.

Thanks to those who have helped this effort already...you've done an amazing job! We have been gathering signatures for a few weeks now, are on track and can get this done, but we need all of you.

Like any grassroots effort, we need thousands more of us out there. I'm not kidding when I say that every one of us is needed to battle this huge Goliath. And, folks...they have already started with their misinformation against this campaign.

They are mobilizing and getting out there in opposition.

We have what many are calling the BEST opportunity to get GMO labeling passed here in California! The forces that don't want us to know the truth of what's in our food cannot beat us if we unite as one and work together to make this initiative pass. Together we will make this happen.

PLEASE...if you've not yet gathered any signatures to ensure your right to know: contact me directly at plarry@labelgmos.org

Please include in the subject THE NAME OF YOUR CITY IN CALIFORNIA so I can get you in touch with your local leader who will pair you with someone who is trained to get you going.

I've personally gotten almost 1000 signatures already. I tell you that because I don't ask anything of anyone that I am not willing to do.

EVERY volunteer signature helps.

We are done April 22.  We have six more weeks to gather signatures.  Please join us because it's through our united effort that we will get this on the ballot now and won in November.

Thanks!

Pamm Larry

The grassroots group to recall Walker just turned in 1.8 million signatures and all done by volunteers. Now that is grassroots gone wild. O.k. I am game. Anybody up to a friendly little competition to see who gets to 100 first?

How serious is climate change?

How serious is the danger of climate change? The following attempts to give data that supports the theory that the danger is very high and immediate. It is possible the extreme weather conditions we experience are a prelude to the collapse of the current and relatively precarious state of the climate known as the interglacial phase. Greenhouse gas emissions have usually led to fast increase in the reflectivity of the planet as noted below. This appears to have been the case for past onslaught…See More
