Well, this movie, like The Story of Stuff, changed my life. And because I believe that the intent behind Sustainable Table was/is to change lives, I believe that my review of this film is positive. To make a long story short, this film shows (among other things) graphic footage of the soul-crushing conditions in modern US slaughterhouses. I was so adversely affected that, after plugging my ears and closing my eyes, I fled the theater 20 minutes into the movie. A life-long omnivore, I have eaten meat once (in moderation) since I saw the movie, and only after checking to make sure that the meat was local and free range. It's time for me to change my diet, so that I stop supporting the vile killing machine that is the modern US meat industry. This movie should be required viewing for all omnivores.
